Dr Ali Ukra – Orthodontist

Ali is proud to call Hamilton home having completed both his intermediate and secondary school education in the Mighty Tron. He undertook his tertiary studies at the University of Otago, during which he maintained close ties with family and friends in the Waikato.

After completion of his Dentistry degree (a Bachelor of Dental Surgery with Distinction), He spent a year in Hervey Bay (Australia), before returning to his beloved Hamilton to work as a private dentist. After gaining entry into the 3-year orthodontic full-time postgraduate course at the University of Otago, Ali returned to Dunedin to complete his long 9-year journey in the deep south and is now looking forward to using his new skills and experience in servicing and giving back to the community he calls home – the Waikato.

As well as being a sucker for study, Ali is a huge sports fan. When he is not on the football field or squash/tennis courts, he is usually found in front of a tv watching sports. He is a passionate Warriors and Waikato Chiefs fan and enjoys attending as many games as he can. As well as a frequent attender at the gym, Ali has been known to indulge in a bit (a lot) of food, so you are very likely to regularly spot him at your local restaurant.
